We offer herbal and nutritional support for mood balance, sleep improvement, more sustained energy, immune support, improved respiratory health, digestive harmony, hormone balance, stress resilience, and more!

Each year, students in our Advanced program team up to offer free clinic sessions to members of the community. These sessions allow students to put into practice all of their herbal and nutritional studies. Volunteers get to experience the detail-oriented and in-depth nature of an herbal consultation and receive free, tailor-made wellness protocols, herbal formulas, and/or flower essences that are specifically formulated for their bodies, health state, and wellness goals.

The students will work in small groups to conduct two clinical sessions with you, the first is an intake session where they will take a complete health history, and the second a shorter follow-up session where they will provide you with educational information, herbal formulas, and dietary and lifestyle recommendations. CSCH faculty will provide oversight for each student group and their clinical recommendations prior to the second session.

There are two options for sessions. We ask that volunteers attend both the intake session and follow-up session where you will receive your free herbal protocol:

  • Option #1: Intake sessions on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm AND Follow Up on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 10:00-11:30 am. We ask that you are prepared to start your session by 9:30 am, to sort out any technical issues. Both sessions can be held onsite at CSCH or virtually.
  • Option #2: Intake on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm AND Follow Up on Saturday, June 15th from 10:00 – 11:30 am. We ask that you are prepared to start your session by 9:30 am, to sort out any technical issues. Both sessions can be held onsite at CSCH or virtually.
  • You may select to volunteer as a client for either option #1 or #2 and we will assign you to a set of sessions depending on availability. For both options, you need to attend the intake AND the follow-up sessions.

Please note, per state mandate, we are unable to work with the following folks:

  • People with a current cancer diagnosis

  • People who are pregnant

  • People who are under the age of 2

What is Vitalism?

Vitalism in healing is a clinical strategy based on the principle that Life, Nature, and the Great Spirit from which they arise are fully present in all the tissues of the body, and also in the psyche, the spiritual heart, and the soul, sustaining life and health, providing momentum for personal evolution on all levels, and for the fulfillment of the highest purpose in social and spiritual life. Vitalist practitioners employ clinical strategies and methods which support this life power through the encouragement of nourishment, digestion, rest, and appropriate activity, identification of purpose in personal life, connection with nature, an active spiritual life, identification and removal of obstacles to cure on all levels, and avoidance of methods which suppress or distort life processes. The Vitalist incorporates all aspects of science, especially physiology and pathophysiology, but equally values knowledge from traditional herbalism, empirical observation, instinct, and intuition, and is not confined to the narrow materialistic worldview that dominates much of modern science, medicine, and social life.
