56 Classroom & Clinic Hours • $1,251 and for Advanced Certificate graduates
ABOUT THE PROGRAM | The Bach Flower Essences Practitioner Certificate Program provides the student with the training necessary to become a certified Flower Essences Practitioner. Using the classical Bach Flower Essence set, as well as other Flower Essences from North America and the Desert Southwest, students study Materia Medica, energetics and applications, and flower essence preparation. The classroom portion of the program is completed during simultaneous enrollment in the Fundamentals of Medical Herbalism and Advanced Herbalism Programs. After these studies, students may continue with the clinical portion where they will submit cases in which Flower Essences are recommended. Faculty mentors who are qualified in Flower Essence therapy will review and comment on each case. Flower Essence Round Table sessions, where students and faculty gather to evaluate cases, are held monthly throughout the clinical program. Upon completion, the student is awarded a Bach Flower Essence Certificate. Flower Essences are an ideal addition to herbal therapeutics, nutritional therapy, massage therapy, counseling and psychotherapy, acupuncture, physical therapy, naturopathy, nursing, and many other areas of health support.
Flower Essences are gentle, yet powerful natural remedies that work to support our overall health in countless ways. Flower Essence therapeutics are ideal partners for a wide variety of health and healing modalities and often help an individual get more out of their health program and more out of life.
“The action of these remedies is to raise our vibrations and to flood our natures with the particular virtue we need and wash out from us the fault that is causing the harm. They are able, like beautiful music or any gloriously uplifting thing which gives us inspiration, to raise our very natures, and bring us nearer to our souls and by that very act to bring us peace and relief from our sufferings” ~ Edward Bach

“I highly recommend the flower essence program at CSCH. Flower essences are an amazing therapeutic that can be used with any person or animal, and work well alone or in conjunction with herbal therapeutics (this is coming from someone that was VERY skeptical of FE when I was first introduced to it!). Sara and the guest instructors are incredible at teaching not just the history and science of the essences, but also assisting the students to develop an intuitive proficiency in the selection of essences specific for clients.” ~ Melody Baum RN, CCH
“The Flower Essence Certificate Program at the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism was an integral part of my foundation in working with clients. The program not only gave me tools to support others but also gave me access to my own healing capabilities. This program allows for the emotional body to be honored while holding a safe and sacred space to explore and support the vitality of the human spirit. This connection with the flowers, and trusting in the work they do, has been humbling. The tenderness and vulnerability these essences give make me feel more understood in a world that is driven by the physical. This program has not only informed the way I sit with clients in flower essence only sessions, as well as full therapeutic work but has informed the way I show up in the world. Noticing patterns offers space for more compassion and the opportunity to remember how connected we all are. I love this work and I am so grateful for this program.” ~ Meghan Pivarnik, CCH
Sara is the Flower Essence Program Director at the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism. She is a certified clinical herbalist, nutritionist, and Bach flower essence practitioner. After starting her private practice as a clinical herbalist she observed the profound shifts her clients were experiencing from individualized flower essence formulation. This insight inspired Sara to expand her research by traveling to the Flower Essence Society in California to continue her professional development. She expanded her travels to sacred places with a keen eye to the flowers and the medicine makers of each area. Recently she has been using her journey to create her own Flower Essence series, Wild Vitality.
Sara comes to us with a background in education, sociology, fine art, ceremony, permaculture, and somatic studies. As a teacher, she weaves her passions together to create a curriculum that addresses the complexities, depth, and beauty of the human relationship to self, to others, and to the natural world.
