Learn to nourish your heart and mind by bringing herbs and flower essences into your daily life. Support from plants is something that can be woven into our routine in a simple way that produces profound effects. Learn to love on yourself by knowing what herbs can bring you back to calm and how. This class will provide participants with tools to help cultivate an awareness of their mind and body and what is in the moment will best serve them. Learn simple tricks about how to incorporate herbs and flower essences to provide healing support.

Participants will learn about the uses of approximately 14 different herbs in addition to 5 flower essences. We will sip on yummy infusions and try flower essences in a variety of ways. We will leave feeling empowered with a deeper knowledge of how to practice self-care with plants and how simple and healing it can be to bring ourselves back to our heart center.

By learning about the plants on a deeper level participants will be able to practice discernment about which herbs will be helpful in a given moment. Who helps when? We’ll discuss this! S

ome of the herbs we will cover are Hawthorne, Rose, Albizia, Cacao, Cinnamon, Linden, Rosemary, Gotu Kola, Yarrow, Passion Flower and beyond. Each herb has a different indication and a specific associated emotional state that we’ll discuss and dive deeper into.

Learning to tap into our own emotional landscape and check in to see where we’re at will help us to best choose the herb or essence for the present moment. It can all start with a few breaths and tuning into where there is tension or stuck energy in the body. Self-awareness can be as simple as taking a moment to pause during the busy day to do a body scan. Observe the breath and what is happening with it. Is it fast, slow, deep, shallow? Are you feeling fear, anxiety, stress, sad? Can we put a name to how we are feeling at all? Sometimes simply being able to express how we’re feeling can help to cope.

Practicing this awareness can be hugely helpful. The good news is you don’t have to do it alone! There are so many plans that can support you in simple and profound ways.
